“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19
We are devoted to spreading the gospel on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. We’re here to display the love of Christ and to provide a community where students can grow in their relationships with Christ and with each other. No matter your beliefs or your walk of life, we would love to get to know you!
The Outreach Center
Adjacent to the dorms and across Lindsey St. from the South Oval, the Outreach Center, or ORC as we like to call it, is home to the Sooners for Christ ministry. The ORC is a great place to study, eat, hang out, play games, or just crash on the couch between classes. We also offer free wi-fi, coffee, printing, food, as well as a limited number of parking permits.

Sooners for Christ is under the eldership of the Alameda Church of Christ. Alameda is a passionate congregation and a great place to serve in God’s kingdom and grow in your commitment to Christ. At Alameda you’ll find many past and present members of Sooners for Christ actively serving and supporting the church and they would love to do the same for you as well! Every Sunday morning, we have Bible Class at Alameda and worship with the congregation afterwards.

Darin joined the Alameda staff in 2006. He served as Connections Minister before transitioning to Campus Minister in July 2013. Prior to Alameda, Darin served as the Youth Minister for Hillsboro Church of Christ (Nashville, TN 2003-2006) and Oakcrest Church of Christ (Oklahoma City, 1996-2003). Darin holds a BS in Pre-Med Biology from Oklahoma Christian that he obtained in 1997. Darin and his wife Amy have been married since 1998 and they have two sons, Kalen (2001) and Kamden (2004). Darin enjoys spending time with his family. A lot of that time revolves around sports. Darin does a lot more watching and coaching than playing these days. He has enjoyed the change and the opportunity it provides to interact with the community.
Julie joined the Alameda staff in 2003 and has been the campus “Mom” since 2015. She has had ties to the Outreach Center for a long time. She met her husband, Lynn, in 1976 through what was then called the Bible Chair. They married in 1978 and had three sons. Two of her sons came to OU and met their wives after being involved with Sooners for Christ.
